JLS aims to contribute to the advancement and dissemination of Lacanian concepts in every area of research.

It features essential papers on the history, theory and clinical aspects of Lacanian psychoanalysis, as well as articles applying Lacanian concepts to the arts and humanities, political science and cultural issues.

The journal also welcomes essays adopting a critical viewpoint, or exploring the interface between Lacanian and other strands of psychoanalysis .

JLS includes significant contributions from international scholars and professionals working with Lacanian ideas, and plays a key role in the future of Lacanian studies. The journal has a rigorously non-partisan policy, offering contributors from around the world and regardless of their affiliation an opportunity to present their work to a wide critical audience.

JLS is a unique and indispensable source for all clinicians, academics and students who are interested in developing and challenging their engagement with Lacanian psychoanalysis.

You are invited to submit papers to this new international journal. All manuscripts are subject to a system of blind peer review, and will be scrutinised and commented on by at least two independent experts. Well-established scholars and contributors who are relatively new to Lacanian studies are thus presented with an equal opportunity for publishing their work.
